Fellow companons I'm a Junior(CS) from FSU(I know it's a mediocre school) I will be double majoring pure math. And I just had the realization that I want to study math till the day I die,and know All I can about it.I know we have a math guide here in the board .But what would you recommend me to do?

I'm an international student from a not so shithole country.
transferring is still an option for me
At FSU I should have a better GPA but I think I would be able to transfer.

>didn't learn German or French
>didn't enter affordable excellent universities in Europe
Incidentally, drop the CS part. Chances are you're not smart enough to handle the load of two majors CS+math.

are you fucking retarded

Read complex analysis and topology. If you still like math after that, you have a shot at a career in academia.

>I'm a Junior(CS)
I am so sorry.

Do all of:
MAA 4226-4227 Advanced Calculus I & II
MAA 4402 & MTG 4302 Complex Analysis and Topology I
MAS 4302-4303 Introduction To Abstract Algebra I & II

Hoffman Kunze or Axler's linear algebra
Rosenlicht and Rudin's analysis
You'll probably give up so I won't list anymore.

You aren't getting good advice, so here's something simple. Pick up Tao's Analysis 1. You don't need anything more to know what math is. It's written precisely as an introduction to math. Read it. Do all exercises. Then ask again.
It could be worse. You could be like me.
You might go to
UCF
.

Is UCF really that much worse than FSU?
It seems like the fallback school to UF just like FSU, except for pre-law.

Not him, but I go here, and I dislike it. It is much newer than FSU and is filled with people who seem to despise actual learning in any form. I've met very, very few people who have any form of intellectual curiosity, and I'm no snob or anything.
I've managed to keep a 4.0, and I'm gonna try and transfer to UF next Spring.
>I want to study math till the day I die,and know All I can about it
ok
>what would you recommend me to do?
