This semester has been the most expensive for me at ~$300, but it all came out of my grant refund so I'm not too bothered.

Im more of a /lit/ guy but i spent 1300€ on a bookshelf of psychological analysis novels

Man, you wouldn't believe it. Last semester I had to get like 6 books. It was crazy. It costed me maybe like 0.00001 cents. Which is what my internet provider made out of me downloading those books.

It was crazy.

Where do you find them? What is your field of study? I've looked extensively for text leaks to no avail.
>>
>>8597181
I usually google them. Professors recommend books but I just get the first that comes out when I google topic.pdf I study mathematics and using this advanced 'googling things' technique I've been able to find even non-trivial books like in Analytic number theory and Sieve theory.

And if you google for entry level books then you'll get like 500 options

How does this account for when professors assign problems straight out of the book?
I'm no stranger to teaching myself via google, but it can be hard finding the exact copy I'm looking for, etc.
>>
>>8597192
Oh, yeah. I take a picture of the problems out of my professors' books.

This advanced technique is called 'asking'.

remarkable.

I don't understand why people need so many books, can't you just fucking go to class and take notes or borrow books from the library ?

Last semester I(my parents) spent $800+ on books. They always kept their books and I like keeping my math and science books. Access codes are a fucking joke.
