What if it's just you living your existence and everyone around you are NPCs programmed by the universe to generate a response? What if it's just you being programmed and controlled by an alien in alternate reality , almost like the sims? What if everything just works out and global events are just their to scare you and see how you react and that everything will be fine? Life is meaningless because the controller of your simulation will never reveal himself since it would break the system that was designed. Full awareness causes a dissolution of the computer generation. Beside the alien is his friend controlling your dad in an alternate reality where he feels like he's in control and you're the NPC.
