I wonder if you bombaded venus with nuclear weapsons if you could cause the clouds to condense or stir up enough martial to react with the so2 in the atmosphere. it * might * be possible to reduce the surface temperature by disrupting the cloud layer and letting all the heat out. Further at 92 bar and 720 k the co2 at the surface is a super critical fluid, which will carry a nuclear shock wave very well and transfer a huge amount of energy. also if enough rock was disrupted quite an amount of material may disolve into this supercritcal co2 and provide a means for some intersting planetary chemistry

for example it might be possible to stir up a large amount of the crust which contains carbon. this carbon could react with the so2 in the atmosphere to produce s and co2, with the sulfur being soluable in the super critical co2.
also all of this nuking should be done at the poles as they never get any sun light. if you can somehow coax the atmospehre into collapsing this is the place to do it as all the thermal radiation can excape into space without getting any solar rays.

To study Venus' interior, study Venusian super- We know absolutely nothing about Venus' interior. Understanding Venus' interior would help us answer questions about why Venus rotates so slow and how geologically active Venus is today. If we had a network of seismographs on Venus, we could listen for earthquakes and figure this out.

Only problem is the seismicity of Venus is unknown and we can only build a seismograph that last two hours.

But we could get useful data if we cause an Earthquake.

Secondary to this, it might be possible to track the fallout released with a network of balloons. Using it as a tracer of sorts. This might allow us to better understand why Venus has very fast winds.

We could almost certainly pull off more than two hours. The soviet probes only died after a couple of hours due to their batteries running down or the flyby relay probe moving out of range.

The relationship between colonists and natives was much more complex than a simple invasion. Much of the land was nobody's particular territory, so settlement there went unopposed, and there were many friendly trading relationships and military alliances.
