Is anybody here a nurse or work in a hospital in general? Would you recommend it for a semi-brainlet? Does things just become second nature after a while or do you feel like you need to bust your ass every day?

I'm studying to become a nurse. Practical things like observing vital signs becomes second nature pretty quickly. Talking to people and guiding them however is a bit tricky.
Nursing isn't about the brains, the courses for an RN are piss easy, and the courses for BSN are mostly writing papers.
The rough part of nursing school is the amount of work thrown at you.
At my university
1)600 applicants for nursing program per semester, gotta ace all prereqs and even then have to wait like a year to get in.
2) 3 or 4 semesters of coursework with at least 24 hours of clinical rotations every week. Plus many of the students work as CNAs part time as well. So 48 hours a week are spent in a hospital and not focusing on coursework.
I'm not in Nursing, but my degree is Medical Laboratory Science and I work with lots of nurses. My classes are much tougher however they have more work. (my classes aren't even all that rough desu just memorization and practicing techniques in labs.)
