I'm looking for a good book which explains the fundamental laws of physics in depth. Stuff like conservation of energy and mass, electromagnetism, newton's laws, and even more advanced stuff like einstein's theory of relativity, the Michelson Morley experiment, etc. I'm looking for something that explains the serious science behind it in detail, not books that just mention the experiment, how it was conducted, and the results, I want a deep scientific understanding.

Damn I would buy these all right now if they weren't so expensive. I guess I'll have to settle for pdf formats and read them on my ipad or kindle.

You want books that explain the serious science behind theories in detail... you're not going to understand any of it then, because it needs algebra at least and calculus is you want to understand it better. Popscience isn't real science, friendo. Pick up some math textbooks before you start doing physics
