Why do people like to dress up as other people? Why has natural selection seen fit to reward us with dopamine for this?
Evolution "likes" to try every trick in the book.
Wanting to have sex with an animal, or having someone take a poo on you before sex, or wanting to be degraded before sex, etc. may not have an evolutionary advantage, but then again, who knows?
Coming down out of the trees seemed like a bad idea for a bunch of apes in a continent filled with lions, but look how far we got...

Natural selection works through removing traits which prevent the offspring from successively reproducing, if the trait doesn't prevent successful reproduction there will be no reason why it won't be passed onto the next generation.

It is all about attention, really. You dress up and then go to a convention and everyone will want to take pictures of you and be your friend, unless you are ugly.

Its uncommon in the nature because animals cant dress up... And it's not natural selection what rewarded us with dopamine for that, it's just an software issue...
