the book is very good, as is it's E&M counterpart, it's okay if you can't do the ****, or even many of the ***, but the ** and * exercices should be tackable for anyone studying physics
if you can't do the vast majority of easier exercices, then, yes, you're just too stupid for physics

An intro book for hot shots who already did AP physics and calculus.

actually you don't need to know any physics as a pre req (sure, some intuition would be nice) and as far as the math goes, many concepts used are standard HS material in my country (with the exception of diff eqs)
