According to Newtonian physics, this shouldn't be the case. Is this due to relativistic effects?

no, you're just a lanklet

No, it is because of the now confirmed pilot wave interpretation of quantum mechanics.

Particles have waves they sort of ride on and it turns out these waves also have weight. So before newtonian physics measured the mass and weight of particles but did not account for the wave mass and wave weight of the particle.

And what do we know about waves? That they interfere with each other. So the more waves we put together, they more they could weight. In your specific example, lets say that your 100 lb pound weight is made 100 particles and their corresponding waves.

The weight of the particles, plus their waves, plus the weight of the interference is about 200 pounds. You bench press that 10 times so you get 2000 pounds raised.

But now in your 1000 lbs weight you have 1000 particles and their waves, but also you have much, MUCH more interference now. It averages approximately to 2500 lbs.

Total energy may be more-or-less the same but your power output is insufficient, probably atrophy from frogposting all day

>Is this due to relativistic effects?
the only thing vanishingly small here are your gains
>>
There's a measure of how much work or power something can exert per time.

your body cannot produce the amount of energy required to bench 1000lbs, and although it can store enough to do it in pieces it can't release it all at once unless you are on an adrenaline high
>>

because nerve signals let you lift more weight whereas more of the fluid containing the "energy" in each cell is what lets you do more reps, that's why bodybuilders do high reps
