Why do people find this stupid frog so funny?
Does memeology/memetics have an answer for why certain memes cause laughter?
How and why is this geometric structure adored by so many people?

Dumb frogposter
Here is another example.

I'm picturing OP losing his shit every time he sees a frog picture. Somehow I'm not surprised that this sort of behavior would be typical of a dumb frogposter.
Congrats OP, you are legit retarded.

People generally find meta humor funny because it allows them to identify with a group due to a unique shared symbol or activity. In the case of 4chan, it's a host of jokes, references, and memes. On other websites, it's a different set of jokes and shit.
The unuiqe thing about 4chan though is that the very act of engaging and participaing in the meta humor has become a way to identify yourself with the group, which gives rise to all the different layers of meta humor we see today. Examples are memeing, ironic memeing, unironic ironic memeing, ironic ironic memeing, and so forth.

I think your question is more related to media theory than science, OP.
