how the hell is someone supposed to get into kreyszig's functional analysis with 1 intro to linear algebra book?

I agree with the guy who said computer science because its badass^ but also Calculus is pretty essential to things you should learn before you die. Calculus is the fundamental of all foundations of math so that's why it's so good to learn and master, solving an integral problem without any help or tutoring is as satisfying as scoring a touchdown in the NFL.

jesus christ, how underage? horribly cringy simile aside, calculus isn't a "foundation of math", not even close. you can't even discuss the ideas of calculus without constructing the reals and their structure (ordering, topologies, operations).
I think most people would agree that logic (in particular first-order logic) is the foundation of mathematics; for the nonautismos, set theory is pretty much the de facto basis for every field of math (usually ZFC).

It's a themed deconstruction of your shit non-advice
Kreyszig is elementary and self-contained though

you seem confused anon
and self-contained != useful for someone with 0 background
