Nothing can ever be known. I sit in solace while all of you normies give yourself carpal tunnel solving problems that will never mean much more than arbitrary symbols on a paper. I instead think of new and fresh philosophical discourse my conscious can debate with my subconscious. I am a living, breathing embodiment of intelligence. The only way one of you would ever live a better life than me, is if our definitions of what is better were not arbitrary. Thus, we may conclude that the pen/pencil may not be a writing utensil. We may perhaps draw the conclusion that this is a tool OP should shove up his ass for posting such a stupid fucking thread.

You don't get carpal tunnel if you don't hold your pen like a retard.

uniball roller micro (0.5 mm) in blue. ive spent too long trying to find a pen i like more but i keep going back to them...
>>
>>8394325
OP here, was going to get the Signo 207 but apparently they recently have had a problem where they skip a lot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xSvhN3GJAI (check amazon reviews as well) I also read that the aforementioned problem was fixed with the 307 but that isn't available where I live, so I got the VIsion Elite instead.
>>8394287
To be honest it doesn't have this kuru-toga mechanism everyone IRL and on Amazon has been talking about, but the eraser is definitely far better than the Kurutoga.

There isn't a rubber grip, but there are ridges in the plastic. It's surprisingly comfortable despite this. And the pen never skips, of course; very consistent ink flow. 10/10 tbqh pham

Does permanance mean anything to you? I don't like using ink because I know it will fade and don't know what those archival inks are made of most of the time. Mechanical pencil is nice to know that the ink will not fade, but then crappy paper :(
>>
>>8394398
>Does permanance mean anything to you?
No, it's not a concern of mine.

>Mechanical pencil is nice to know that the ink will not fade
Honestly don't know if you're trolling here or not.

In any case, the ink in that pen is proven to be water-fast, at least. And I can't think of a time it smeared. So it should last a while.

2B or harder should be fine if you have good lead.
>>
>>8395738
I really should try it out with my 2B lead.
One problem with 4B .5mm lead: I have found is that they are bad for filling out scantron sheets not just because they smear more but the lead that touches the page sort of falls apart. It stays on the stick of graphite, it just gets messed up and you have to wipe it off with your fingers. Same thing happens to me with .2mm Orentz and 2B grade lead.

I should've said that I don't have a problem filling out bubble sheets with .5mm 2B lead.

Pilot Neox 2B and 4B in .5mm.
Kuru Toga works fine with Pentel Super Hi-Polymer HB and the .2mm lead was Pentel Ain Stein 2B.
I bought a Pilot Automac and Tombow Zoom 707 pencil but haven't received them yet.
I plan on buying Ain Stein and Nano Dia in .5mm 2B & 4B.

Can any of you guys post some samples of what your writing looks like with these pens?

I used a Pilot G-2 0.7 the past three years in my maths degree but this is mainly a carry-over from when I used to take notes from literature all day. With mathematics it just makes everything look messy though. The Pilot Frixion 0.5mm was much clearer, but it cost like 10 euro and it lasted for around two weeks at most. Any compromise between price and quality? Ideally something with a fine-tip that doesn't feel scratchy is what I want. (Note: the 0.5mm Pilot G-2 was scratchy as hell)

A ballpoint pen usually writes finer than a gel or rollerball pen. You could try a .7 or 1mm Jetstream, but they glob sometimes.
>>8397904
I like Pilot Neox. It smears a lot if you are not careful though.
>>
Serious question: why do you faggots care?

I use rotring 600 in 0.5mm and 0.35mm, Pentel Graph 100 for Pro 0.5mm, Staedtler 925 25 0.3mm, KuruToga in 0.5mm.

Pens.. usually the G-2 0.38 mm and JetStream 0.3mm..

Recently started using wooden pencils..

Mitsubishi 9800

and Mono 100..

These are shit. They seep through the page a lot. Plain cheap Wal-Mart disposable pens are better. But writing in the sciences is very beginnerish. It's way more effective to just think hard and long about the problem then to write only to document the solution with proof. Doing this helps develop a very strong head and ability to visualize the concepts.

>>
>>8394287
Honestly this, but I use a .9 mm one. The lead is the perfect thickness for me and it makes my work bold and darkened. The lead also lasts me at least a couple weeks of heavy use per piece so it's very economical. The erasers are expensive for this pencil but they are the best I've ever used. HIGHLY recommended
