What do you guys think of the 'cold dead eyes of a killer'?

Schizophrenics talk differently to normal people, I see no reason why psychopaths couldn't have different facial expressions.

I've known a lot of people with cold dead eyes who aren't sociopaths.

I think most of the time it is learned behavior. Murderers like the dominance of killing someone, and the looks they receive while giving these "cold" stares reinforce it. That, or anti-social personality disorder. Just never learned or cared about what is considered proper behavior. Socio/Psychopathy are rarely used to describe people in contemporary times.

It may also just be the way you perceive them. If someone presented a cold stare but they were known as a successful actor, you probably wouldn't react the same.

Source: I took psy101 freshman year of college, so I understand people. The cool pic I uploaded proves my interest. It's also my wallpaper on my macbook and I orient it during class in a way that everyone can see it.

People tell me I've got a look about myself, too. I even sometimes recognize it in the mirror.

I don't know. I've thought about it myself, and at best, I could really only be painted as a super-high-functioning psychopath, which is a huge stretch.

I mean, what... is there some way I'm supposed to rest my face so that each muscle present doesn't cause my facial expression to default, to what looks like the face of someone ripping your heart out of your chest with incredible focus? Do people strain every day just to look... "normal"?

I don't know. I mean, that sounds incredibly impractical and backwards.

All I know is that, combined with the moments I really get into conversational topics or emote, it must make interactions with me seem very charged or intense. I just about probably stare into people's souls.
