If you believe in a fake thing really really really hard, does that make it slightly less fake?

Christians make up around 33% of the world's population
The best it can be is a fake thing with consequences.
Depends. There is such a thing as a self-fulfilling prophecy.
No, but it makes you remarkably more stupid.

This is what chaos magic is! Whatever you believe in is true from that moment until you believe in something else. I mean True as in Real with realworld effects..
but then again... I don't know why I even know this and don't google it or ask about anything related to this ever...

this
People will look at you funny if you claim flying pudding monsters are real, but if enough people believe the same things...
This question is really more philosophical, but depending on how you define "real", yeah, if a bunch of people believe the fake thing it could be said to be real.

no matter how badly you want to ride a unicorn, it will never happen OP.

It's still fake, but if the believer believes it to be true, it may as well be true.

Absolutely not, still 100% fake.
It's a part of human nature to try to justify things we hope to be true, or our own beliefs, even if it does not represent reality. It's a self survival mechanism, if we were constantly wallowing in agony about the world we couldn't get much done. So evolution has genetically hard-wired us to put ourselves in denial about our circumstances. We naturally are driven to believe in falsehoods, if only to keep us dumb and happy. Studies have shown that we're incredibly good at telling ourselves that events occur the way they did for a good reason. No matter how unfortunate the consequences, we are experts at finding ridiculous justifications for bad events. Just look at /r9k/.
Science, reason, and logic are relatively recent developments that try to move us beyond this backward way of thinking. Sadly, most of humanity has yet to accept these principles in all aspects of life.

And Muslims make up another 23%, so between just two religions you have most of the world's population believing in an all powerful deity.
