It did, but it's been millions of years since then and it all stuck together after a while

Rings are formed by the breakup of satellites or as the remnant of protoplanetary disk. Theia impact was a totally different scenario
>>8302682
Because the theia impact hypothesis for the origin of the moon is incorrect. God created the moon approximately 6000 years ago.

>All is as one day with God, and time only is measured unto men.
God created the moon billions of years ago by smacking earth with another celestial body. Deal with it.
>>8302735
You got that backwards, the Moon created God.

Nowhere in the bible does it state the earth is 6000 years.
why doesnt the moon have a single drop of water and the earth is mostly water on the surface?
>>8302682
It probably did, but rings don't last billions of years.
Don't rings just exist when moons are torn up from strong tidal forces like on Saturn and Uranus that split up matter that would otherwise attract to each other?
>>8302682
Planetary rings are not stable. The particles will decay and the ring will be gone unless replenished.
