>there are people here on this board who actually devote their lives to science when the end of humanity is literally inevitable

if you see no way out, it means you are too stupid OP
>>8293135
are you retarded?
implying we wont either:
1. create some form of machine life or AI that will carry on after us and go to other planets and galaxies
2. copy human brains into 1
>>8293134
>>the end of humanity is literally inevitable
but with science, we can make it happen much sooner!
>>8293159
But what about universal heat death, anon?
nothing is inevitable. think about it. a hundred years ago people thought heavier than air flight was impossible.
the fact that humanity will end at some point will seem like an afterthought after enough advancements in science and mathematics. that's what it's for; to represent the change in our model of what the world around us displays, and what we envision the world to be with regards to high and low level abstractions. you can't look at one principle as the be all end all representation otherwise you will lose track of newer insights.

implying super intelligent machines can't figure out a solution or just remake the universe

>Implying machines can overcome physics
kys
Even if that were true, I do what I do for the sake of my own enjoyment. Everything will eventually dissolve, whether it is sooner or later is not relevant to me, who will be dead within several decades.

See V.E.1
If we do our homework right we're literally eternal.
Get cracking nigguh.

>>implying we could trigger such a thing

We could simply make a good enough detection system, wait for one to happen and jump in it.
Well OP. There are calculations for the probability of life in the universe. For population densities and die back.
I am sure there is an equation for 'when' we all extinct. Cant find it tho.
