What if humans are the first intelligent life in the universe and in the far future when we colonize planets in other solar systems the different groups of humans will evolve differently and then re-discover each other as different aliens but all the aliens evolved from us, so basically we are the ancient old ones that spread life around the universe in the future
>What if humans are the first intelligent life in the universe
we aren't

>what if
Who gives a damn honestly?
Here's fact #1: you won't be alive to see it
Here's fact #2: we will probably never leave the solar system

>Here's fact #2: we will probably never leave the solar system
What makes you think that? Even if we can't get anywhere close to light speed I'd imagine that eventually we'll have some huge Stanford torus type thing slowly moving to a distant star while generations of humans just live their lives waiting to arrive
>>8249662
>we aren't
prove it
>>8249668
I most likely won't be alive to see the meeting between human and alien life (if it ever happens, the sheer size of the universe or galaxy is an explanation for why it might not happen), but I do think we will leave the solar system (even if that doesn't necessarily mean colonizing a planet outside of the solar system). That doesn't really have too many requirements beyond what we can expect to have, though it won't happen in my lifetime (probably).

oh yeah, I can imagine those generations wandering through empty cold space, getting their energy from ??????????

Extremely efficient modes of reusable energy in the far future
>mfw we will be the godlike ancient ones future civilizations humbly ask for help from in dire situations

Behold, he is The One Who Knows.

Imagine that. Such hopelessly infantile, broken things, become something to be sought out for its wisdom.
Could happen I guess. We're not the beginning nor the end.
>>8249774
that's pretty cool tbqh.
We really are a great ancient civilization
with respect to the future
.

change universe to galaxy and it wont sound so retarded
ITT: /tv/ or /co/ invade /sci/ yet again with their crappy space opera "ideas".

I dont know, maybe carrying along a moon for teh fusion energy??????
>>8249655
Literally play Halo, that's what it's about
>>8249954
Its true though, current evidence suggests we are likely to be the only sentient lifeforms in the visible universe
