IIRC there was an experiment with a monkey where the brain transplant worked, but because the spinal column wasn't grown in or some shit, the nerves weren't connected and though the brain lived on it couldn't control the body in any way.

Actually you really have 2 brains one of the brains is the you brain and the other brain is the inside brain that controls your body. So if we had 1 brain transplant we would really need 2 SEPARATE transplants and only the you brain would be that different. Ok?
