Art can never be prescribed to a science. Sure humans may prefer certain "shades and patterns", but that is meaningless as far as art goes. Explain why I find certain things beautiful, why certain things touch me: "Well you see, your right celebrum fires to the nervous chord and chemical react to give you a feeling".
