If I slam my head against the pavement, will that shift things around a bit in there and I'll wake up with newfound insight and intellect?

Possibly. Although I'm not sure the risk is worth taking, no matter how dumb you are.

You'll just as likely wake up with reduced pre-frontal function, personality change, anger issues, google it it ain't pretty.

If you seriously consider this, then maybe you really would benefit from it.

Pretty much this, I've suffered a few mild concussions and now I'm all sorts of fucked up. Savant syndrome usually happens in extreme concussions since it takes a dichotomous distribution of functioning across either sides of the brain. Get a coma if you want anything to happen.

It's a kind of head deformity
read moonwalking with einstein. a chapter on a guy who claims to have inherited a savant-like ability from an traumatic injury (can'r emember his name). after reading the book I can't say I'm convinced savants are real but obviously you can't ignore kim. its something i want to explore but it is a subjected shrouded in complete bs.

To all those wondering: this dude probably had a stroke/aneurysm and then had to have a massive blood clot removed along with a piece of inflamed brain. Might've also happened from severe head trauma. It's pretty gross. Look up "craniectomy." It's fucked.
