Is it possible for a bullet to breach the mesosphere, make its way to the outerspace and after a while hit mars ? I'm guessing once it gets in the range of Mars gravity, it will exponentially speed up and gain lethal damage speeds again.

The average escape velocity of a bullet is 11km/h but there are snipers much with higher caliber that fires much faster than an average handgun.

you dont know how fucking thick the atmosphere is
>>
If only there were multiple websites with delta-V values that aren't porn sites for NEETs where you could find that information.

Google tells me that the fastest bullet goes 1.2 km/s. The earth's escape velocity is 10 times that.

Additionally, if you DID somehow propel a bullet fast enough, it would be destroyed in the atmosphere before it could leave, just like a meteorite.

what if you fired a bullet from every point on earth fast enough to escape at the same exact time?

What would be the avg distance between bullets at disintegration?

I don't understand the question?
>>

I am guessing he's asking for 2x the distance from the bullets distance from earths center when on the brink of burning up.
>>

You could do it with a tungsten slug of sufficient size. Ablation is just gonna happen.

If you fired a bullet from every single point on earth, it would create a sphere of bullets. Since spheres have infinite points, increasing the radius of that sphere doesn't change the average distance between the points. In the mathematical world there wouldn't be any separation at the time of disintegration.

In the real world however, there can't be infinite bullets and the final separation depends on the initial separation. This initial separation will depend on the size of the bullet since you're attempting to fire one from every possible point. Also I have no idea how long it takes to disintegrate so I'm really just avoiding the question cleverly.

If you made an absurdly big "gun" and a very strong bullet, sure

What if you fired a bullet from a gun remotely after initially elevating it past the thicker, lower layers of the atmosphere using a helium balloon?
>>
>>7969242
Why not use a "bullet" with a multiple firing system? Launch one into the atmosphere that is heatshielded and once it's orbital, fire it again with a Mars directed shot?
>>
>>7969248
I feel like a weather balloon and surplus rifle would be cheaper.
>>
>>7969248
You mean like a space rocket?
>>
You can modify the bullet and launch chamber, making it like a rail gun system and giving the bullet it's own propulsion, but you can only modify what you want so much until it's no longer a gun and more of just a rocket. So I'm going to have to say no unless you don't mind us turning your gun pretty much into a launch center and the bullet into an unmanned Saturn V rocket.

The point is not to make a bulletsized compact missile. It is to noscope sum martian bitch with a single shot.

Didnt that cannon cunt the jews killed was trying to do something like this.
