Is breathing out of your mouth constantly associated with low intelligence?
>>
low EQ maybe
>>
breathing through your nose is considered more polite, and manners are a sign of higher intelligence compared to the absence of

Ugly people in general are considered to be unintelligent for obvious reasons.
>>
>>7958329
If your nose is stuffed or you're running, it's acceptable.

conforming to social conditioning a sign of lower intelligence desu.

The only prominent mouth breather in my life is a guy who was in the same grade through elementary school. He seemed to be average in everything but a day ago I learned that he's now a research assistant and has worked as a data analyst for Apple.

hygiene = nothing to do with intelligence, apparently

Yeah, but why is it considered polite in the first place? And most people breaths through their mouths even when in situations where politeness is unneeded and also when alone. Mouth breathing also leads to health problems.
>>
>>7958365
so you lose all forms of manners when alone?
>>
>>7958329
I have chronic rhinitis so I have to do it.
>>
>>7958365
I don't enjoy smelling other people's mouth odour.
>>
I think it had become associated with low intelligence because:

A) retarded people (downs syndrome ex), ugly people, and dumb people are probably more likely to have health issues (some self inflicted, like smoking) and a facial structure that leads to mouth breathing

B) a hanging open mouth is associated with dumbfoundedness. It also just looks weird and dumb.
>>
>>7958372
No, but if it were more natural to mouth breathe than we would probably do it when alone because no one would be around to be bothered by it
>>
>>7958356
Does this mean that being called a mouth-breather is a compliment?
>>
>>7958378
WOW this guys a genius!

My boyfriend has sinus problems so he breathes through his mouth because his nose is always clogged. He's pretty intelligent to me.
I used to have anemia due to disease and since I was usually exhausted all the time I used to breathe through my mouth all the time, yet I'm a med student.
I see no correlation with your claim.

>He's pretty intelligent to me.
>to me

Keywords right here. Given his sinus problems he's probably of low genetic stock, much like yourself.

>I'm a med student
>breathe through mouth all the time

>My boyfriend breathes through his mouth
>he's pretty intelligent to me
>to me

lel, thanks for confirming the stereotype

I had chronic sinusitis and after cutting milk from my diet I started breathing through my nose. Don't they teach you how to rule out allergies?
