I, too, am intrigued by ayyliens. Unfortunately there is not much to discuss if you don't like arguing over smudges on poor quality photos from China.

I suppose one thing that's always popular is talking about how to communicate with them. Personally, it seems to me that visiting the Earth "by accident" is such a low probability event given the vastness of the universe and even our galaxy, that any alien encounter with Earth would have to be deliberate on the part of the aliens. Given that, it seems overwhelmingly likely that if their aim is to communicate with us, they will have developed some means of doing so. Why come all the way over here only to rely on the ingenuity of humans to facilitate conversation?

Of course the other possibility is that it will not have been their aim to communicate with us, in which case there is probably not much we could do.

Well they're probably not here.

But if they are, we say can one thing about them for sure. They ain't planning to land and ask to speak to whoever is being Carl Sagan these days. That's not their agenda, whatever it may be. Nobody is getting a ride of their space ship. They've got their own thing going on, and you're not invited.
