Best info I could find through Google is that some professor on rebbit said their whole department got an email about them saying not to download them, presumably because another professor at the institution had complained to springer because a book with shared copyrights was being given out free without permission from said professor.

I don't think anyone managed to get the LNM (Lecture Notes in Mathematics) series though nor any logic/model theory/proof theory books from the philosophy series'. It's a shame because that's more along the lines of what I was looking for.

I should have downloaded them, I didn't bother looking as I assumed they would be left up.
