Where is your science now dumbfags?

Pic related, it is the typical global warming fanatic.

>Major theories about what causes temperatures to rise have been thrown into doubt
>the findings did not dispute the effects of carbon dioxide on global warming
Well that's blatantly contradictory.
Journalists without a hard science major should really be barred from reporting on science topics.

LOL let it go m8, you lost.

You know I've never been as wrong as you are right now. Tell me, is it physically painful?

Yeah exactly because it is going to get really cold.

Apparently being used shitface.

Climate is a highly complex system that people have not accurately modeled. Even something as "simple" as the average global temperature has not been successfully modeled, nevermind the consequences of raising the average global temperatures would really have or how much CO2 would have to increase to see these changes. It's time to put aside the political bullshit and admit that climate science has a long way to go before it can predict long-term trends in the global climate. Besides, between peak oil and nuclear fusion, the rise in CO2 in the atmosphere will stop.

go back to /pol/ and or /r9k/

It doesn't matter. We NEED to stop using polluting fuels like fossil fuels and nuclear. Whatever justification, whether it's the threat of global warming, global cooling or the more fuzzy term 'climate change', whether the threat is real or imaginary it doesn't matter. We have a duty to do what's best for the world, even if that doesn't mean telling them the whole truth.

>Besides, between peak oil and nuclear fusion, the rise in CO2 in the atmosphere will stop.

Transportation and energy do not make up the entire 'pie'. Keep in mind we're also destroying carbon sinks too, so at a certain point it won't even matter how much we cut back emissions.
>>
>>7737242
>The climate hasn't been accurately modeled
Agreed. Many people think there isn't enough evidence toward climate change to stop burning oil. A much better reason we should quit fossil fuels is because they're a shitty source of energy. They're hard to extract, harder to refine, and even harder to clean up when somebody inevitably spills them. Their limited availability causes shitloads of socioeconomic and political issues. The developed world's thirst for oil has arguably resulted in several wars.
>>
>>7737242
but there is a CONSENSUS and we all know real science works by how many grant chasers you can get to give a hypothesis lip service.
>>
>>7737073
The world is entering a cooling cycle. Every real scientist knows it. Time to change the narrative.
>>
>>7737350
Fuck off nuclear is the best source of power we currently have.

Solar and wind energies are even shittier sources of energy and nuclear energy is even harder to clean up in case of a fuck up.

>While the findings did not dispute the effects of carbon dioxide on global warming, they found aerosols - also given off by burning fossil fuels - actually cool the local environment, at least temporarily.

> The spokesman said it was "well known" that aerosols such as those emitted in volcanic eruptions and power stations, act to cool Earth, at least temporarily, by reflecting solar radiation away from the planet.

> Kate Marvel, a climatologist at GISS and the paper’s lead author, said the results showed the "complexity" of estimating future global temperatures.

> But, rather than being good news, NASA has concluded the lack of taking these factors into account means existing climate change models have underestimated at the future impact on global temperatures will be.

I don't know why you're celebrating op. This news actually favors climate changers since it actually states that humans DO have a impact on the planet, which is something naysayers have been to state otherwise.
>>
>>7738282
He's celebrating because it proves that the Warmist cult has absolutely no idea what the fuck they are talking about and have simply latched onto something they use for political ends. Namely to create a one world government.
>>
>>7738282
The point AGW critics make is that we don't understand the process and that lowering CO2 at the cost of using higher entropy generating "green" technology will probably make it worse (the real problem is simply overpopulation which even in poor countries requires a massive agri industry to sustain).

Of course, reddit browsing, unprofessional religious nutjobs who don't even have a degree are controlling the dialogue by shouting and witch hunting.
>>

>aerosols actually cool local environment.
I know. Clouds tend to lower local temperatures you mong.
>>
>>7738465
Not in the winter time. Clouds hold the heat in you mong
