For a board so obsessed with memes, there is very little intellectual discussion about them.
See, most people simply repeat memes they see because the novelty is funny. Then after a while they get tired of them and just move on to something else.
Real meme connoisseurs should operate differently. We should recognize memes by their inherent qualities, rather than their Facebook shares. Take Harambe for example: I think we could all tell from day one that it was just a fad that lacked any real substance and was bound to die soon.
On the other hand, plenty of dead memes are still good.
