You probably don't know this but 90% of the regular posters on this board are super geniuses.
Our posts look like incoherent babble to you because we're communicating on a level so advanced it'd take a plebeian like you 100 lifetimes to figure it out.

[s4s] of course. The brainlets on /sci/ pale in comparison to the denizens of this board.

I hate smart people too. Everyone deserves basic respect regardless of how bright they are. It doesn't make you any better that you know ur times tables or memorized some jeopardy questions or whatever.

science itself is nothing more than the physical application of pattern recognition in nature for purposes of human convenience. It can easily be used artistically if in the right hands, and therefore no longer feel so "sciency" but rather aesthetic. Science has been the primary tool that we've been using to isolate ourselves and destroy community as of late so I can understand that distrust of it as a field of inquiry but it's really harmless in the right hands.
Pattern recognition and application.
There is a science to everything. Even emotions. This is not an inhumane concept, it's just a metaphysical statement that recognizes the interdependency / harmony of all natural processes, be they subjective inner realms or objective external phenomenon.

this is what happens when you ignore the philosophical basis of calculus
you think you know things that are impossible to know because some textbook told you it was true

As a former "intelligent person" I can say that it's not a "gift" or whatever, like people think.
It's basically just having a state of mind that studying X-topic is the most important thing in the universe. They only seem to pick up things super fast and without having to study as hard as others because they are actually mentally studying and reviewing all the time.
They don't walk out of a math class and go "whew glad that's over now what should I have for lunch?" and ace ever test. They walk out of the class and go "damn that was interesting, let me see if I remember it" and they play with it and practice it mentally all the time.
The real gift of intelligence is basically just a specific kind of autism that leads to intelligence.
Eventually I realized everything is pointless, dropped out of the physics PhD program I was in, and now I'm dumb as rocks and never looked back.
Intelligence is overrated. We're all just short-lived bags of meat in the end.

woof woof
But do you envy this one?
>>5126262
being intelligent in the way of having sci knowledge does not solve your problems. I am really good at a lot of fields but I'm no better than any of you. The only thing I consider worth envying on people is their social skills which open so many gates for them
