Speaking from personal experience and motivations I can answer these.
The psychology of this board is to reject that which is unnecessary. To forego those trivial issues which concern the majority of people. This is a place where I can let my mind explode outwardly in any direction and witness the results of said explosion. I use this board as a place to express ideas which have no other context or outlet. I have discussions here which would offend or confuse most people, I try to talk about concepts of reality and human society that aren't usually discussed. I try to do something interesting here. It's therapeutic for me because it allows me to organize and critically examine my thought processes. Every post I make on this board is like a snapshot of my mind at that particular moment in time. It's very useful to be able to look at your own actions and thoughts in a more objective manner, and it's also very intriguing to learn other people's opinions on things that I may have never actually spoken about to another human being. This board is a really incredible thing, but these are my own personal reasons for using it and I can't expect everyone else to think the same way. In fact I would not like that, as I don't need an echo chamber.
