S8s is post-ironic. Like the advanced forms of baneposting it has turned the game upside down. What it does is allow people to be sincerely ironic. It is sincere unironic irony, an irony without pretense but one that is playful and true to the heart.

This basically means that unlike common irony which is insincere or to say it more precisely "deceptive" in it's essence, this form of post-irony is one that is the exact opposite, it is "Sincere" or "Genuine". This is why you are in doubt whether people here are ironic or not.

I'm not kidding when I say that I don't check dubs ironically anymore. It just feels natural at this point to comment on peoples digits.
I even get slightly upset when I see a thread filled with posts and no one checks the dubs. Like maybe the second post is dubs and 50 replies later no one checked them. When I see that I get a little sad.

I think in some scenarios sincerity can spring from irony.
