What a miserable life for me, unfavored by nature. God wills me a lonely life without love because I am bad and the universe would be better off without me. I have tried to go against him and prove him wrong by living differently but he always stops me. I am doomed to the cycle.
Life is really worth living for me. Good food and the woods, but I am so tired and I have to work a double down at Ridge tomorrow. Its a joyless place. My niche in society is that of a human cow, or maybe a horse if this was Animal Farm. I enjoy the cheap food I am given and am thouroughly satisfied by netflix. Maybe the farmer will throw me a nice cow to make calfs with so that he can continue to have cows after I am dead, but I feel that somehow I have angered him.. I kept too much milk for myself. Those of us without nikes are slaughtered without mating.
But there are doves around who make beautiful songs, and I can hear them through my toiling. How I would love to be like them, to woo the hen at morning. Their eyes I hear are sharp enough to see well past the mountains. For them the farmer has built houses and even sparkly fountains.

there is chlorine in all of the free water and it hurts my throat. the only good free water i can think of is at my grandparents house. they have a well. the water rights to their aquafer were bought out two years ago by a company who is going to carry the water away to rich people in highlands ranch. the same thing happened to the people on the south side of chatfield and now they have to pay jacked up fees to have water shipped to them. its only a matter of time before all of the colorado natives will be forced to move.
