So even though animes participate in asian cultures, and speak the language they are mostly not actually asian?

This makes some sense; After all lots of animes have blonde hair, blue eyes, and white skin. One such example is naruto which even has a slight pinkish colored skin.
Asians don't naturally have, blonde hair, blue eyes, and don't necessarily have light skin. These traits suggest strong Caucasian blood.

Maybe asians just like how white people look better?

I always thought the influx of American culture after ww2 was a part of it. Japan was practically a US state for a few years, and the Japanese really wanted to reinvent themselves. American culture was in abundance, so they drew on that.
That's not to say anime is a rip off or anything. But the western influence on it is greater than some would expect.

Well they did something right then I guess. Animes like samurai champloo, trigun, and especially cowboy bebop were heavily influenced by wester culture, and those are the best one's out there.

I like anime and I like to look at it as a meeting of east and west. Seeing a Japanese interpretation of things like film noir and westerns in cowboy bebop and trigun give you a unique perspective on them. And it's fun to weeb out sometimes.
