Previous advice on here has been to go for things like stockings, underwear, gloves, that sort of thing.

Start off small, don't go jumping in at the deep end, buying catsuits, hoods etc.

Honour are pretty good for gloves IMO, feel that they offer really good value for money.

As for measurements, they changed their site a while back and whilst it's faster, it doesn't have the full measurement chart that it used to, which is a shame.

However, glove sizing is the same pretty much everywhere, this site offers a decent visual guide on how to measure for gloves

On the Honour site, ignore the size numbers and look at the size letters instead, used that in conjuction with the above guide and you should be good to go.

I just picked up a pair of latex gloves for my girlfriend. Best $50 I've ever spent, we both love them and this is the first time we've played around much with latex. I think she liked both, pretty difficult to compare. Definitely wouldnt start with gloves, reminds of washing the dishes. If I was on a budget and wanted to start with a basic, bland clothing i'd go with a body or stockings with garter belt or something, maybe bra + panties.

For me, I got her into latex with a simple Catwoman cosplay made of cheap PVC.
