Look it up, it's nerves being compressed, not blood flow. If it was blood flow you'd wake up not with a tingly arm but with necrosis.

Necrosis would only happen if you actually lost ALL bloodflow, which doesn't happen, it only restricts it, and again, only on the dermis, not to the entire limb.
When you put yourself upside down and you feel your completly streched legs tingly, do you think their nerves were pinched?
