This happened to me with one of my exes. I unloaded The Logical Argument Against Scat, and then basically topic-banned it by romantic ultimatum.
It worked! I got dumped a year later for wholly unrelated reasons, and the only time the topic had come up in the interim was in the form of, "I'm unsettled by having liked this before." I gave someone whose sense of disgust was failing them outright a reminder that it has real world uses in protecting against disease.
