How exactly does reading make you smarter? I legit need to know

For one, it can help you in the ability to focus on one thing for a long period of time assuming you don't just put it down after 15 minutes.
Also if you're putting it down that soon you should find a more interesting book.

It is a pretty good book, but im just a faggot with a lot of time and literally can't socialize very often (house away from town, no car, friends far away, etc.)
