Nothing can hold my attention. Every time I start a project, I am all excited about it and go at it with full force; but once that initial adrenaline and rush is gone, I can't seem to take interest in it no matter how hard I try and it either gets left halfway done, or gets completed but not as well as I thought it would since I just can't keep interest in it.

Yup and it sucks big time. But it's prolly a part of a larger disorder like bi-polar. Mood swings are awful and you're either manic or depressive.

pls actually do start a disc because I am pretty curious about this as well.
did you overcome this on your own, anon?
did you use any resources, or did anyone help you?
looking back on how you sought to correct it in yourself, what did you find most effective/wish you had spent more time doing to progress, and what did you find to be ineffective?
>>39605458
do you believe that adhd is a part of being bipolar? or what do you mean?
mood swings is normal for people with adhd. i have this disorder and i am often black/white.

that's part of ADHD actually, the meme right now is that ADHD is solely about inability to focus. It affects your thoughts and emotions also and gets misdiagnosed as another disorder.
Watch this, at least the first minutes of it.
it will tell you 100% about ADHD

Only join if you want to improve your life.
I used many resources but the thing that helped the best was diagnosing every single detail of all the problems I have in my life, and attacking them head on.
What I found to be ineffective was taking shitty advice from 99% of the people on this planet.
I can't convey everything in a single message. EVEN THEN, the only way for someone to give you useful advice is for them to first learn about you as a person, assess your situation THEN give advice. We're all different people Anon, even if we are facing the same problems, we may need a different approach/solution.
I know what I am saying right now isn't helpful. Wasn't meant to be.

for fucks sake. you're not special. you're not retarded. you're just a spoiled child. if someone took your computer away and forced you to work hard, you'd learn and work as well as anyone else. raise the consequences for distraction, or remove your distractions. you're not supposed to naturally get good at shit or motivated. literally every part of the human brain WANTS to be lazy and inactive. if you give a shit about not being lazy, you have to push it.
>>39605568
I believed so, but I'm not a psychiatrist. Had this shit diagnosed 22 years ago. Don't really care for the name of the disorder, but that was my understanding up until now.

Oh, Dr Russel! Enjoyed his vids, thanks anon, I might've been wrong in my understanding of ADHD, was pretty sure it's one of the symptoms of bi-polar!
What actually helped me was finding an anchor hobby. One that I'm constantly interested in, tried so many different things up until that moment.
