How do you guys deal with the anxiety of getting on voice comms for games? Do you just mute chat?
>>39531601
i only get anxiety irl i can talk to anyone online just fine
>>39532064
this.
no one can see you, they can only hear you.
>>39531601
wtf is going with this girl's arm
why are chinese cartoons so bad
>>39532074
exactly. its also even better knowing you will never talk to these people again after the games over and you will never even see their face. for me the hardest part about talking to people irl is what to talk about but in a game thats not an issue because we are talking about the game.
>>39532110
I generally just talk about the game and positions in the game, try to help the team win, you know.
>>39532102
>chinese cartoons
theyre actually japanese and its called anime not cartoons. lurk moar newfag
What if they say you sound retarded? I'm afraid this will happen to me.
>>39532186
literally all you have to do is call them a nigger or a jew or just leave the game. basically just give no fucks
Everything above + if I'm not talking I'm risking getting kicked, banned and losing my e-peen points.
I actually can't imagine anyone being autistic enough to avoid voice-chat in videogames. You need therapy. Seek help.
>>39531601
I can voice chat only if I'm dipping tobacco. Any other time I end up getting flustered and never use my mic.
>>39531601
I only talk when it pertains to coordination and strategy and even then only in generic terms (e.g. "heading towards B" or "ultimate ready" so I don't end up thinking and stuttering.
>>39531601
Yup, I just mute it. If they talk to me I get really anxious and I start to play poorly, and I'm also afraid of sounding autistic.
I only talk when I have to. It's actually scary talking to guildies in raid
>>39532102
The animators work in sweatshop conditions and make fast food wages so only put in the absolute bare minimum of effort, not like they have the time to spare making details.
>>39532154
I seriously hope you're baiting right now.
>wanna get drunk to help socialize in game
>Getting drunk negatively affects my ability to play game
>Can't win
>>39532285
>>39532254
>>39532186
i hope you realize nobody actually gives a shit how retarded you sound
>>39532219
>literally all you have to do is call them a nigger or a jew
Im a black bot, and I do this too.
I just want to win, and voice chat is the fastest and easiest way to communicate
>>39531601
I'm two different people irl vs online. irl I don't say shit to anybody but online I am a master shit talker.
IKTF. One time I said literally one word in voice chat on this tight-knit discord I'd been in for months and got light-headed and extremely flushed and sweaty. I don't know how people do it
>>39532276
>only in generic terms
this is an actual reason you're garbage at videogames
I don't even have to know what your ranking is to know this
compare your communication with some high level pub and feel the difference
>get on voice chat to tell teammates something or call out an idiot
>everyone stops what they're talking about to ask about my voice
>>39531601
Depends what game it is. If I'm doing good I can talk to others no problem, but if i suck i'd rather not because i feel like I'm letting people down.
Why would you be using voice chat? There isn't a single multiplayer game out right now worth playing.

>he doesn't play oldish ranging to old multiplayer games that have dedicated communities
>he thinks the only games worth playing are games that are brand spanking new but only if they're quality despite the knowledge that every new game will be a fucking dumpster fire from now on
I have literally never played a multiplayer game. Nothing but rpg's, platformers, and retro fps's for me. You fucking anime avatar fags with tons of internet gaming friends are social butterflies to me.

So...kind of a coward?

I oddly dont get nervous when i use comms in vidya.
Its in a casual setting on discord or in real life when i clam up or spill spaghetti.
The reason being im just focusing on the gsme and winning.
People who dont use comms dont necessarily throw games, but sometimes it can end up causing the team to lose an objective or getting out flanked because someone was too shy to call it out or too slow to type it in team chat.
People who say you can play competitively without comms are grossly mistaken, thats my two cents.
My advice if you are nervous is to just focus what is happening in the game, because everyone else will most likely be too focused as well to be so petty as to make fun of a team mates voice as long as you have decent skill.

this 2bqhwy famalamilia
you trihard - you use voice comms
>>39531601
Mute it, including incoming (I don't want to hear your shitty opinion on what I am doing wrong, fuck off). The only exception is Squad, where voice com is actually an integral part of the experience and has both a good layout on who gets to talk to whom and a reason to talk at all. Also everyone who plays it has an interest to keep it professional. I even mapped talk to local and talk to squad to mouse button 4+5 because I use it so much. Just a simple "enemy at G4 Numpad 9" helps a lot and you don't have to take the lead or have a conversation, just letting everyone know some useful information. Really helps to motivate me because it's not the abusive shit you normally get on pub games from tryhards and "u mad bro" trolls.
>>39531601
Been there. You just have to go for it. Lots of people consider me 'quiet" still but, it's for the best.
>>39531601
Play single player only - problem solved.
>>39531601
omg, I want to be behind her.
