Because its a positive feeling that is vague enough to be applied to most situations when someone needs inspiration towards an objective. Its not wrong per se, but the culture around it and how vague it is make normies not actually understand what it is to love. Overall I feel that love culture isa bunch of bs, theres a bunch of romantic movies, love songs, every fucking thing has to be about "love" or loving someone to make one life complete and if you dont have you fail at life, look at this place for example, every day theres a thread about "the face when no gf" because somehow not having someone to "love" means we are losers at life and we have to kill ourselves, because thats all that it means to live your life. Theres no self improvement for the sake of feeling better about oneself, having friends that you can trust doesnt mean anything if you dont marry eventually.
"Love" is used as an excuse for the dumbest of reasonings, and teenagers do the stupidest of things because society stresses them out that they need to experience "young love", their decisions are made without logic, and they have the face to say "no regrets" later on, because it was "in the name of love". Its all so fucking stupid, really.
