I'm a hopelessly addicted to the internet. I've tried timers, time-boxing, self control, apps that prevent access, porn filters, but I find a way around everything. So I sold my smartphone and bought a dumbphone, and tomorrow my internet service gets turned off. I have no home television service either, so basically I have will have no digital consumption tools.

My reasoning is that tomorrow afternoon I'll be forced to either stare at the wall or get up and fix my life since I'll have literally nothing else to do.

Seems like you need structure and regularity in your life. Like a job, or education. I wouldn't completely go without the internet. You should allow yourself some form of entertainment or else you won't be able to keep going.

You're right. My plan is to reintroduce it once I've broken free of the black hole of being a NEET. Right now it just seems like an impossible task to get outside and start living again when I have the digital dopamine drip right here in my room.
