I'd recommend just gritting your teeth and trying to talk to some people at least. It will be difficult and you'll make mistakes at first but trust me you will get used to it, everyone messes up while talking. Good luck anon

talking to people is fucking impossible. I go to my classes, I go back to my room and I study and play video games. that's all I do. sometimes I go for a walk alone because my campus has some pretty nature. that's about it.

i did the same but in reverse order, getting sick and arriving late to uni made me feel so disconnected from the rest of people that i didnt even bother with making friends or talking to anybody and that loneliness eventually made me drop out and now i am studying from home

I remember right before my Junior year I had a massive panic attack about the fact that I hadn't made any friends in two years and I almost dropped out and didn't go back to school. After working my way through it and graduating and getting a well-paying job I gotta say that I made teh wrong decision. I hate my job and my life and I think my experiences in college never got better

it's vague advice, but for anyone who's inexperienced that's the best they will get. in a casual conversation, people ask each other questions and then answer them. social outcasts generally think too much about what to say and/or say too much too quickly. they exaggerate how much it means to meet someone and they expect too much attention on themselves. but you're the one who wants to learn and interact and make a connection, so you should be giving the other person the attention first and let them talk.

it might be awkward asking a guy all kinds of questions, but literally every straight couple on planet earth started out with a guy asking a few questions and only slowly opening up much later. girls are the ones who should be talking. you not knowing what to say is completely natural.

My point was that conversation time should be evenly split between all members involved. If you talk half the time and she talks half the time, you're doing good. Questions are simply a way of giving her more opportunities to talk (and hopefully she'll be asking you a few questions too).

I have been to uni for 2 years now. And I don't have any friends or people I talk to.
I am always alone for every group project and have to email the teacher that I do not have a partner yet.
