Around the time I started using oatmeal soap in the shower is when my back acne started to disappear. It was the soap and also the fact that I started taking medium/lukewarm showers finishing with freezing cold water rather than hot ones that ended up helping a lot. I know this is basic advice, but it really can't be understated the effects that water can have on your skin. Avoiding anything lathered in industrial chemicals in general helps too.
