this is the same complaint i had with the irobot show, if he's suppose to be an autistic loser introverted computer nerd why is he maintaining multiple relationships and having sex with some junkie who has drugs? Its a clear hollywood "weird but not too weird we dont want to scare our audience"

because he's not autistic or super introverted. The reason why the show is fun to watch twice is because Elliot is Mr. Robot. Everything Christian Slater does and other people besides Elliot react to is actually just Elliot, meaning that he's actually a ballsy pack leader of his hacker group that managed to bring 4 other people together to fuck up capitalism and shit.

That said, I'm sure there's lots of people like Elliot in real life, that shut themselves in when they can and have brain problems but still manage a degree of social success.
