Sounds like you don't have the influence.
A gift to shock him out of ever becoming a NEET from you would have to be an electric chair.
It's up to the parents to not support him in a way that he'll be satisfied with being a NEET living at home.
And if he gets enough govt support to live on his own satisfied as a NEET, even the parents don't really get a say against that.
