Even though I try to mention other friends to her, she thinks he is my only friend. I want to visit him after karate today and maybe chill and play vidya with him this weekend but I'm too ashamed to because then I'd have to tell my mom I'm going to his house. I know I should just do it anyways if I want to, but for some reason I really care what she thinks... What do I do? Even though I'm 18 she still has a tracking app on my phone to see where I am, so I can't lie and say I'm at another persons house.
Also how weird is it to just have one close friend you hang out with often?

i also only have 1 friend i actively hang out with and my mom noticed that after a while of course.
It gets quite annoying when she sometimes says shit like "oh, why dont you ask K if he wants to hang out".
You just gotta get over it. Or simply tell her you are meeting a couple of friends at his house.

Same situation as you anon, I dont know if my mother cares much about it as long as I have a friend and get out of the house once in a while. He is kind of a chad and everytime he calls me over to play vidy there are other friends from highschool(we are 22-23 y/o).
I dont care much actually, he is the only person I can actually trust with all my being, maybe if I dont get a girlfriend, my mother may start to think that im gay or that im lying to her about hanging out with my friend and im actually seeing a girl without her knowing(which is ridiculous).

Same, sometimes we hang out with other mutual friends at his house since he has the most consoles and least parents or siblings around, and my mom probably thinks I'm lying and it's just me and him. How often do you hang out though? If I had more friends i'd likely hang out with him less but I've tried and hasn't been very successful so far.

when college is not demanding, once every 2-3 weeks. Last saturday it was his sisters 15th birthday party, and he invited me over for tomorrow to play some vidya.
Like, if it wasnt for him, I would Never leave my house for any reason whatsoever.
