The INTP autists I've known usually have been able to act normal from the exterior while still being autistic (as you can't cure autism). I've met a couple INTJ autists who seemed autistic externally but disagreed with the diagnosis, presumably because it didn't seem to match their internal thought patterns. Mental illnesses are really a poorly understood thing, but the way I see it, it's the internal that counts, the external is just a manifestation. A person can be depressed but act normal. Someone with ingrained aspergers can learn to act normal but won't change the way their mind works
