I know this probably sounds terribly edgy but people who try and downplay suffering with religion piss me off. There is no excuse for the hell that most people/animals/anything on this planet experiences at any given moment. Any loving God would not allow this. That's because for millions of years, if you felt bad for the poor little animals, you'd either starve to death or get eaten yourself. It doesn't make you bad. Life and death are an eternal cycle.
