The education system is on a state level and not on a federal level, so we have pretty big differences of education quality depending on the region you are looking at. Wealthy states tend to have a far superior schooling ystem and overall test results. I am lucky enough to be a part of one of the wealthy and white parts of Germany, so my time in school was beddy nice (regarding the education itself, the other parts of school were a mixed bag).
