This thread is proof that 4chan has completely succumbed to redditors.

It's worse than that. 4chan has succumbed to nu-4chan. I'm not going to pretend this site was ever about originality, but it was about knowing the community, the memes and lingo and pasta and whatnot that marked you as someone who was up to date with what was happening around here. "Newfag" wasn't just an empty insult you threw at anyone with wrong opinions, it was someone who was too new to the site to understand our culture. That's how Reddit works now, more or less. 4chan is about doing the same dumb shit over and over again, reading the same thread you've seen a million times, reposting an image that was ALMOST funny the first time for the millionth time, rehashing the same pointless argument over personal taste you've been having since the day you joined.
The Reddit paranoia is a comfortable lie we tell ourselves, because the hard truth is that while Reddit used to look up to us and steal our content, nowadays we steal a lot more of theirs. The site is dying, and the people who made it the center of internet culture left ages ago.
And I still can't bring myself to leave
