I myself used to feel empathy until I was relentlessly bullied all through highschool by normies. Those same normies would be really "upset" if a teacher died or chad overdosed on drugs, but they had no problem making my life hell. How does this make sense?

Humans only have so much emotional energy, so to speak. We cannot afford to love everyone. For most of human history, we lived in groups of no more than 400 or so, and recognized everyone outside of that as a threat. You were not among these 400, so they had little incentive to treat you with kindness. Yes, they do feel empathy, just not to everyone.
>>
The best ones are the ones that do a random act of kindness then feel the need to broadcast it on all 5 social media accounts so they can show everyone what a good person they are.

But if you hurt someone regardless of who they are you're supposed to feel guilty right? Assuming they're innocent.

Morally, yes. In practice, it is more complicated than that.

Same here. I can remember more or less around what age I lost most of my empathy. I don't think it's that bad, you just have to pay attention and learn how people acts so you act accordingly.

I realized long ago I used to do very exaggerated faces trying to express emotions I though fitting the moment, though I overdid them so much people probably thought I had mental problems or some shit. It's hard to calibrate what level of emotion one has to project to others to fit in, but as soon as you get practice and are mindful of what you are doing it works wonders.

The trick is to never get carried away.

They do but only for those they already would accept. They also use people to get themselves more attention.
