they change you, both mentally and physically, but whether they make you feel better about yourself is up to you - that really depends on your circumstances and the reasons for why you want to take them in the first place.

I suppose this might sound kinda weird coming from a proto-tranny but I didn't really feel bad about myself to begin with. I have no real issues, and I would have been fine living as a guy my whole life, in fact I am living as a guy now and don't feel out of place or anything, even as I change.

You should understand what HRT can do for you and what it's capable of, especially it's limitations, before starting. It can make you cuter, it can make you more feminine, but it can't make you cute if you start from obese pizza face uggo, you know what I am saying? Have reasonable expectations. It can't change your facial structure.

I don't have a therapist or psychologist or anything, I am self medicating - I just ordered pills online and am taking them. It's probably better to get an actual prescription if you have access or ability to do so, but either way the end result will be a fairly standard prescription, almost all trannies in the US are on spiro and something like estrofem.

What are my thoughts, well, I like what they are doing for me. I think most people who do their research and understanding what they are getting into will like the results if that's what they really want. Go to /lgbt/ and learn more about HRT.

Lifting weights doesn't mean you'll bulk your muscles up. People who have huge muscles need to take in huge amounts of protein, more than most people would normally eat. If you don't take in enough protein to build new muscles, then you'll just be burning fat, strengthening your bones, and toning your current muscles.
